This is a new product - this combined Cayman/Jamaica map replaces the Jamaica only map on the ITMB catalogue. This appears to be one of if not the only commercially available map of Jamaica at the moment.
Cayman Islands & Jamaica by ITMB Travel Map ITMB, 2012 edition
This double sided map features Grand Cayman Island at an extremely detailed scale 1:37,500 plus Little Cayman and Cayman Brac Island at 1:90,000 in an inset. The terrain is shown by elevation tinting. Both land and water nature parks are marked. Road information includes every side street and gas station, main roads are numbered. Symbols indicate beaches, selected hotels, golf courses, sugar estates and points of interest. There are numerous dive sites for viewing tropical fish and about a hundred are shown on the map. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 5' intervals. The map is indexed and includes a street plan of George Town and a small overview map showing the actual location of each island in the Caribbean Sea.
The Caymans remains a British colony, like the British Virgin Islands, the Turks and Caicos, and Bermuda. Tourism is the number one industry of the Cayman Islands, with dozens of hotels dotting the beachfronts, especially north of George Town.
The reverse side shows a map of Jamaica at 1:250,000 using elevation tinting and spot heights to show the general relief. Reefs, marsh areas and National parks are marked. Road information includes secondary roads and some petrol stations. Other transport details include railways, airports and airfields. Symbols show beaches, selected hotels, golf courses, sugar estates and points of interest. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 15' intervals. The map is indexed and includes a road distance chart.
Added is an indexed street plan of central Kingston at 1:25,000. Symbols denote a variety of tourist features and services e.g. info offices, bus stations, hotels, points of interest, notable buildings, post offices, petrol stations, hospitals, churches and shopping areas.
